About the artist

Tori Ratcliffe is an animal artist who creates lively, colourful portraits using watercolour and fine liner. She applies the paint first, in a loose expressive manner, and then draws the details in on top. This allows her to effectively portray the life and character of her chosen subject. A self-taught artist with a background in Creative Advertising (Leeds College of Art, 2014) Tori has successfully exhibited twice in London, including at the prestigious Mall Galleries in Pall Mall, and has also had the opportunity of a solo exhibition.

With a passion for wildlife and an understanding of the need to care for and protect our ever-shrinking wild spaces, Tori spends a lot of her time collaborating with conservation charities, concocting ways for her artwork to benefit the consistently growing list of endangered species so that in the future there may still be a thriving menagerie of animals for her to paint.
